KArm, like KOrganizer and Apple's iCal, uses the industry standard
iCalendar format for its data. KArm can read and write the to do lists
created by these two applications. As it does this natively, there is no
import needed.
The iCalendar format is described in RFC 2445:

For your convenience, I attach a sample .ics-file created by karm. If you
want to create iCalendar files on your own using a script, you may want
to take a look at its dcop interface; example in the bash:
[tstaerk@ls3523 test]$ DCOPID=`dcop | grep karm 2>/dev/null`
[tstaerk@ls3523 test]$ if [ -n $DCOPID ]; then dcop $DCOPID KarmDCOPIface
addtodo "test23"; fi;
Afterwards, you will find a todo "test23" in your karm. The KArm dcop
interface can be enhanced, if you want to buy an enhancement, I recommend
you to ask the KArm maintainer, mark@easymailings.com. He knows best
where the KArm programming know-how is. konsolekalendar, as opposed to
KArm, can not handle todos.
