Please also note that Helge Hess (OpenGroupware.org) is working on GroupDAV,
which has a similar purpose, but goes even further insofar as the downloaded
incidences are raw iCalendar (not iCalendar embedded in xml as CalDAV). The

The proposal is a result of the OGo - KDEPIM collaboration on the OGo
resource. The OGo server already implements GroupDAV, and the opengroupware
resource in kdepim/kresources/opengroupware/ implements a resource that can
talk to any GroupDAV server (well, it's not yet completely finished, but I'm
working hard to get it ready for 3.4).
