Note that I'm NOT proposing to modify the Qt source at all! I just borrowed a 
piece of it (to use as a template) and modified that. The new QToolTip I 
proposed will simply be used in stead of the default one. That replacing is 
standard Qt, nothing changed there. Just create a QToolTip decendant with a 
widget as it's parent and the widgets default tooltip will be replaced by the 
new one. The only modifications needed are in either KMail or (better, I 
think) KDE libs. I have tested it in a small test application and it works 
fine here.
