You are right, my tone was not OK.
I was quite frustrated since the way I tried to solve this issue seems
to be the only working one in these circumstances.
Of course it can not work better than the input data it gets -- and
these are not fine, often, since data fields like first name/last name
are missing ...

So this looks like a bug in my bugfix, and has to be fixed of course.
