You can export to vCard 3.0 which _is_ the native format that=20
KAddressBook uses. You can also export to other formats because some=20
programs might not be able to import vCard, but the preferable export=20
format is vCard 3.0.

You can. But for most people exporting and importing is way easier. And=20
if you want to merge two addressbooks then you can't simply copy a=20
file.
