I still haven't had a look at the patch. But it's your code that you are 
fixing anyway. You'll have to fix further bugs etc... If you think the patch 
works as expected, I don't have any objections. 
The thing about hiding the recurrence ID behind the startdt method seems to be 
justified by the rfc. 
Actually, the rfc means that all todos of the recurrence sequence should have 
the same UID, but that's not possible with libkcal currently.
