OK, I can understand that. However, there is no difference between
"disconnect if you want" and "disconnect, this is the end of the operation".
That's why I was a little bit confused.

In any case, I can just store the information about which steps
were actually taken and disconnect only when both read and write
syncees have been called. No problem with that.
