I've seen this issue reported previously, but I thought it might be
helpful to confirm the report with my experience. When I run KPilot
the first time, synchronization works fine. I can usually synchronize
multiple times, as long as I don't exit KPilot. If I quit KPilot but
leave the daemon running on exit I have problems. If I press the
hotsync button while only the daemon is running, nothing happens. If I
restart KPilot while the daemon is running and press the hotsync
button, nothing happens. I must quit KPilot with "Stop daemon on exit"
checked or it is not possible to perform any more synchronizations.
It's a minor nuisance, but probably contrary to the intentions of the
programmers. I presume that it is supposed to be possible to
synchronize without manually starting KPilot when the daemon is
running. Should I submit this report to submit@bugs.kde.org?

(I'm running 4.3.10 KPilot with Sony Clie TG-50.)
