I sent basically the same patch to the list on monday, and got confirmation 
from Cornelius to apply it. However, the release plan says we shouldn't 
commit such fixes until Nov 30, because we're in deep freeze right now, and 
beta2 will be tagged tomorrow. Thus I wanted to apply it on monday after the 
freeze is over and we can commit bug fixes again.

I'd say we shouldn't load the date. If you save a template, you will most 
probably generate similar events on other days, not always on the same date. 
However, the "no time associated" setting should be loaded. I'm not sure about 
loading the time... After all, you select a time, create an event and then 
load the template. I'd expect to have the selected time and date as the 
date/time of the event.
