I tried it some more, and the current setting really works fine with the m500, 
every time. Making this configurable is something that doesn't fit in KDE 
3.2, but I can put up tarballs on the KPilot site.

That doesn't happen here, but that's with KPilot 4.4.0 and not 4.3.x.
