Cause its a standard resource it has to be read/write. Hmmm, do I have write
access... good question :-) ...

Ok, if the current implementation is like in kolab-client, the user contacts
are stored in an IMAP resource:

[Quote Kolab-client handbook:]
"[...] A global shared address book is available independently from the
contacts. Address book entries are maintained inside a LDAP directory on the
Kolab server and can be exported to vCal format. The necessary conversion is
done by the groupware client application.

The GUI on the Kolab client provides read only access to all address data
stored inside the directory.

The Kolab client application stores contacts in the IMAP sub folder named
"Contacts" on the Kolab server. The actual entries are represented as
multi-part MIME emails with included vCard address data as MIME parts[...]"

I have problems with kmail and IMAP resource folders. I post a question to
kolab user mailing list, cause KMail and IMAP resource are OT on kde-pim, or?
The problem is, that everytime I start KMail I have to recreate the IMAP
resources.

Hmm, I will try my LDAP test as Kolab-Admin.

Thanks

 Thorsten
