I already applyed it to HEAD, maybe this is the reason for the merge
problems.

Well, in the old version the resource manager read the resources
settings from $HOME/.kde/share/config/libkcalrc, with this patch
no config file is explicitely given, so the resource manager takes the
fallback config file for the calendar family
($HOME/.kde/share/config/kresources/calendar/stdrc).
