On a brand new SuSE 8.2 system (kde 3.1.1) I installed kitchensync to sync my 
zaurus (rom 2.36g) with kde.

This works really fine (congratulations to the team ):-  ) but there seems to 
be a small problem syncing todo entries:

The original entry from zaurus:

"Kalkulation für Mike"

looks like that on SuSE 8.2:

"Kalkulation fà ƒÃ‚ ƒÃƒ ‚ ¼r Mike"

in the Summary. Indeed the same text in the notice field is correct.

Does anybody has an idea what went wrong?
