With slapd -d 256, and starting up KAddressBook with the LDAP Resource
enabled (using user name and password), I see this:

conn=0 fd=12 ACCEPT from IP=140.186.103.153:32899 (IP=0.0.0.0:389)
conn=0 op=0 BIND dn="cn=Manager,dc=kde,dc=org" method=128
conn=0 op=0 BIND dn="cn=Manager,dc=kde,dc=org" mech=simple ssf=0
conn=0 op=0 RESULT tag=97 err=0 text=

When I click the search button on the LDAP search dialog, I see this:

conn=1 fd=12 ACCEPT from IP=140.186.103.153:32907 (IP=0.0.0.0:389)
conn=1 op=0 SRCH base="ou=media,dc=kde,dc=org" scope=2 filter="(cn=*)"
conn=1 op=0 SRCH attr=Company co department description mail
facsimileTelephoneNumber cn l mobile o pager telephoneNumber
postalAddress postalCode st street title uid
conn=1 op=0 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=0 nentries=4 text=
conn=1 op=1 UNBIND
conn=1 fd=12 closed

Wierd, it looks like the search command doesn't make it to slapd when
I use the resource.

BTW, if there is not going to be a 3.1.3 release, what is the point in
backporting the fix in CVS? Just in case there is another bug-fix
release?

Mark
