In 3.1. the percentage column is updated when clicking on the checkbox.

It's not redundant because there is no other way to set the task to 100% 
completed with a single click and it gives a quick indication, if a 
task is completed or not (reading the text "100%" is more difficult 
than noticing that a checkbox is checked).

It's pretty much standard, so I think it makes sense to keep it.
