I rather think remaking the previews at a higher resolution, to have them
look good if they are a little bigger. I tried fixed size, but it looks
rather strange when - because of other pages sizehints - the wizard grows
bigger and the preview is a tiny thingy in the corner.

I always thought this is supposed to change the appearance of toolbar
buttons only :-)
This may finally be a reason to have a KWizard. So far, KWizard is a
1-to-1 derivate of QWizard. But this button handling stuff is definitly a
valid reason to have a real KWizard.

I really think we miss some defaults for "decorative art" in the themes or
styles. I really like to add some spice to a widgets display, but so far
the danger is that it will not look good with this or that style.
