Gosh, and then I checked to see what versions of pilot-link were shipping with 
various distro's (FreeBSD & RH 7.3) and they were all 0.9.5. I guess noone 
has ever noticed that the USB support of pilot-link 0.9.5 sucks rocks. Code 
support added again, configure check updated, please test.
