There is now. The upload routine now first checks if an appointment with the same uid already exists. If it does, the appointment is=20 overwritten. Else, a new appointment is created. Upload is "experimental" for a reason: if th eoriginal appointment is e.g. recurrent, you download it to korganizer, edit it, and upload it again, strange things may happen, because the upload=20 functionality doesn't know about recurrence yet.
