Nils,

I apologize.  I think somehow your message about serially syncing your Palm
V got mixed up (in my mind anyway) with others about syncing Handspring
Visors and other USB-enabled devices.  KPilot 4.2.x is the current stable
release and does not work with USB handhelds.  My email was directed to
another user who was having troubles in this area.

Just a quick question, have you been able to sync your device with other
tools under Linux?  I just want to be sure of your configuration.
Specifically, you should look up details on how to do so with pilot xfer.

However, like Adriaan said, KPilot version 4.2.x is a little buggy.  Even if
you are sure of your configuration, there still may be a bug interfering
with your use of it.

As for your serial handheld (the Palm V), the version of KPilot that ships
with KDE 2.2.2 should (mostly) work.  I don't have a serial cradle, so I
haven't been able to test it myself.

Adriaan, perhaps you could chime in again with the status of serial syncing
under the newest stable KPilot (4.2.3)?

After looking it up, SuSE 7.3 apparently includes KDE 2.2.1.  You should try
to upgrade to the newest stable version (which includes the newest stable
version of KPilot) if you don't already have it.

Hi all!

I would like to use my Palm V with Kpilot and Korganizer and KMail and
KNotes, but when I start hotsynching, almost nothing happens: KPilot starts
and the Palm starts synching too, but there is no more visible action... it
seems that no Conduit is startet and no data is transfered.

Kpilot and KOganizer and KMail semm to be installed properly.
I used the RPM-Packet from the Suse-LinuKS-Site. Suse 7.3 is runnning on my
machine.

Hope that you can help me.
