What's the state of the devfs support in kpilot? I vaguely remember many
moons ago having a conversation with Adriaan about how he wanted the "normal"
usb support up to speed before worrying about devfs, but I don't recall much
more than that. This, of course, is inspired by the fact that I just
switched to devfs, and now can't get my handspring to sync :-) The first
problem, is that I cannot list out the true device name in the config dialog.
It doesn't seem to have enough space to put /dev/usb/tts/0 (it chops the 0),
so I had to symlink /dev/pilot to the right one. (On an aside, is it still
on the todo list to use the /proc/bus/usb filesystem to get the information
you need, rather than using the manually entered device name?). Then, once I
got that done, it just sits there (it opens the device!) just never actually
communicates. Any ideas?

Whoo, that's a nasty paragraph. But I'm too lazy to reformat, so I hope
you'll bear with me :-P

HAND!
