Well I think you know that this is wrong. My work on KDE is twofold: it is 
coding on one hand and handling the financial matters on the other hand. The 
latter gets more focus right now, as it grows more and more. 

On the other hand, I told you what I think about your library (did you test 
it on a NFS mounted home directory so far? You think it worked? Well try 
different filesystems on the server side to see why the file based approach 
is a cul-de-sac). 

This is why I did not start to port kab so far. Porting it is easy, I will 
see if I can do it. 

I personally do not see the point why there should be only one addressbook. 
Especially since the approaches of the two applications are rather different 
and I got so far a number of replies from people who like one or the other. 

Meanwhile, I will continue to work on a server based PIM solution.
