The only DO_NOT_COMPILE line I have is in the check for libpisock.  Is that 
what you're talking about?  Anyways, I added that there, made clean, reran 
configure, and tried another make.  No dice :-(  Exact same error.  Then I 
added those lines right outside of the libpisock check, and went through the 
whole thing again.  Same error.  ??

It takes your code, makes a couple changes, and sells it in a proprietary 
product *ducks*
