I have setup Kpilot to use /dev/pilot with a speed of 57600, and It *almost* works I think. When I press the "Hotsync" button on my palm cradle, the palm states that it is connecting with the desktop etc etc. And a new Icon appears on my Desktop, called KPilot - so I assume all is working. Then after 30 seconds or so, the Palm says "Connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established", and no data can be found in KPilot. What have I done wrong? I took a quick look at my logs - and there doesn't appear to be any errors - in messages there is: Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1/2, assigned device number 17 Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: usbserial.c: Palm M505 converter detected Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: visor.c: Palm M505: Number of ports: 2 Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: visor.c: Palm M505: port 1, is for Generic use and is bound to ttyUSB0 Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: visor.c: Palm M505: port 2, is for HotSync use and is bound to ttyUSB1 Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: usbserial.c: Palm M505 converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs) Oct 22 18:41:37 masaclaw kernel: usbserial.c: Palm M505 converter now attached to ttyUSB1 (or usb/tts/1 for devfs) Oct 22 18:42:42 masaclaw kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 17 Oct 22 18:42:42 masaclaw kernel: usbserial.c: Palm M505 converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 Oct 22 18:42:42 masaclaw kernel: usbserial.c: Palm M505 converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1 Any help would be most appreciated. I haven't backed up my palm since converting to Linux, so it's getting quite important to..
