That's one way. I have no idea if distro's will pick this up, since it might
require them to release a whole new kde-pim package. OTOH, debian probably
doesn't have that problem, and I think Ivan was sympathetic to a working
KPilot release (as opposed to what's out there now).

It definitely didn't One problem with including KPilot in 2.2 is that an
enormous number of strings changed -- changed so they make sense, or have
<qt></qt> in them, or just to add support for necessary things like USB. So
there was never any change of getting major changes into KDE 2.2.2.

Instead, what will happen is a KDE_2_X_BRANCH, which will compile under 2.2
and work properly, will be created. Right now I continue to work in HEAD
simply because people *expect* that to be unstable and once I get KPilot to a
point that I'd like to release it again, I'll merge into 2_X and we can go
from there.
