Gary,

I once used the method without any problem. This is the code snippet I found. It 
is generated by Designer, thus the cast to int. It shouldn't be actually be 
necessary.

my_table = Qt::Table(my_box, "my_table");
...
my_table->setNumRows( int(0) );

Post your code if this doesn't help.
