release with a secondary official release from Latte.  
  If I have understood correctly:

merged with Virtual Desktops both for X11 and wayland?  2. that will probably break \
Activties from (5.x-1) ?  3. The idea is that Virtual Desktops will get some \
characteristics from Activities or vice versa?  4. The features provided from \
kactivitymanagerd will be dropped? (files linked to Activities, Activity icon, \
etc...) OR Virtual Desktops in Plasma will be identified through kactivitymanagerd in \
the future?
