There has been a wishlist bug[0] open for over a year regarding adding
launcher support to the taskbar.  My understanding is that this
feature is shipping in 4.6 (at least, I currently have what seems to
be exactly that staring at me right now), but I haven't seen much
chatter about it, much less any resolution to or comments on the
report itself.  I know it was a widely-requested feature by users of
Smooth Tasks[1] in particular.  Am I missing something?  Is there a
reason relatively few people seem to know about this?
