lose network, logout, login, or crash and plasma restart and no dat is 
displayed, it would be voided if when the network is off and there is a 
timeout in the data fetching setData() never occurs.
i think it's already this way in (all?) dataengines tough..

for sure less than the configuration, but since the feature will be 
implemented i think it's nice it's a bit robust. i don't think a single shot 
timer of abot 2 minutes when the data is set bangs too much on the cpu 
wakeups?
