Ok i've just tested it implementing a quick hack and it seems to work great.
Now the first thing to do is finishing the huge API cleanup that is goning on for the player and then i'll be able to correctly implement the VideoWidget :)

ok; don't worry about being busy, it happens. :) the reason i asked is that i
really think we should defer discussion of this issue until that is tried and
we know whether or not it's a possible approach.
