The pic demonstrates my problem:

I use QPushButtons on my applet... and I cannot get rid of the grey background 
boxes shown above.
The boxes appear only if the geometry of QPushButtons is small, if I set them 
to let's say 64x64 pixels the grey background extension does not appear.
