This is an anti-bug-report.

A few weeks ago, artsd would eat lots of CPU and was unable to play
music without dropout. I tried both the ALSA driver and the kernel's
OSS-compatible driver. Last time I tried artsd, it ate all CPU and
killed itself after a few seconds.

Today, it works. artsd is using a respectable amount of CPU. Well,
actually it shows as 4.3% in top with noatun running, 3.3% without
noatun. Not as good as 0%, but an improvement on 10.

ALSA driver version: 0.5.10b

Bus 1, device 10, function 0:
Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97] (rev 8).
    IRQ 4.
    Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=12.Max Lat=128.
    I/O at 0xd400 [0xd43f].
