I've got this one too.  Also RH7.1.  In my case, noatun starts and runs fine 
from a console, with the simple 'noatun' command.

If I add a noatun button to the panel and launch it in a terminal window, the 
terminal opens up, a bunch of text scrolls down and the window quickly closes.
