Perhaps, noatun (libartskde) should be selecting a playobject, and then 
trying another if necessarily.  This will come in handy for e.g., the Ogg 
project, where certainly one playobject will exist for Vorbis, and another 
for Tarkin*.  But both have the same mimetype/extension, so may lead to a 
couple problems.

*Tarkin is the Ogg video project that barely has anything done
