I think it is standard since the audio/x-scpls mimetype is present in kde 2 :)

in general you can't !!
well the port 8000,8001 ... are often used by icecast servers
( Open source equivalent of Shoutcast servers).
Relying on this information is NOT a very good idea I think
BTW am I blind of kde-multimedia doesn't appear on
http://www.kde.org/mailinglists.html?
