Perhaps aktion could gently ask aRts via a DCOP/MCOP call to stop using /dev/dsp, play the movie and then tell it that it can grab the dsp again. aRts should also include a timeout to try to grab the device again in some time if aktion fails to make the second call. Stefan, is it very difficult to do so ? Something that can be done before or after 2.0 ? > -- > Kurt Granroth | http://www.granroth.org > KDE Developer/Evangelist | SuSE Labs Open Source Developer > granroth@kde.org | granroth@suse.com > KDE -- Putting a Friendly Face on Unix > > >> Visit http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe << Greetings, -- Antonio Larrosa Jimenez KDE Core developer antonio@larrosa.org larrosa@kde.org http://www.larrosa.org KDE - The development framework of the future, today. >> Visit http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe << _______________________________________________ Kde-multimedia mailing list Kde-multimedia@master.kde.org http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-multimedia
