Same here (since some weeks).

FWIW I see this in the .xsession-error file:

...
kcminit: Initializing libkcm_kmix: init_kmix
artsd: ../../../../kdelibs/arts/flow/audiosubsys.cc:350: int \
Arts::AudioSubSystem::open(): Assertion `len == _fragmentSize' failed. device \
                capabilities: revision0 duplex realtime trigger mmap
...

But a retry with

artsd &
kcminit

did not crash artsd again.
