I've had the same version of vorbis (RC3) since way before I compiled xine, 
and as I use RPM for it, there's no trace of the old version.

From what I can tell, it happens after at least one thread is spawned, and it 
very well may be something related to timing between two threads.

gdb just isn't giving me any useful BT (prolly my old glibc, ....)

In addition, xine (on the console) works just fine.
