Noatun is using the artsd server to get its video decoder, not just for 
audio output.  In fact, Noatun uses aRts for all its decoding, so it's 
impossible for Noatun to work without starting the artsd.

So, what you report isn't actually a bug, but rather the intended, correct, 
and only possible behavior.

I use noatun for read mpeg video. But, I don't want the sound. I don't start the aRts \
