Hi Ewald, 

I tried the plugin (0.3-beta-6), and it's working quite well. Some remarks, 
though:

- - seeking in video files is not working here.
- - please add $(KDE_RPATH) to the places where you link agains Qt or KDE 
libraries. It's more convenient than having to modify the ld.so.conf and is 
necessary so that you can have parallel installs of KDE2 and KDE3
