Fullscreen != scaling.

Options:

1. Buy a newer Graphic card with hardware scaling support (XV support 
   in X11)
2. Or install a newer X11, if you already have such a card.

3. Another option is to add new ModeLines to you XF86Config if your
   XServer supports the VidModeExtension. (All servers should
   support that)
eg:
Modeline "480x300"     29.952 480  504  584  624   300  319  322  333 Doublescan
