You may be right. I was not using GCC3 to compile, but still had a copy of gcc3.0.2 installed separately. Today I finally managed to find all of the bits of gcc3 (I think) and get rid of them. Now the linker lines seem to be normal. It appears as though for some reason even when using GCC 2.95.3 to compile, if gcc3 is installed, it still tries to add lines to link the libstdc++ from both 2.95.3 AND gcc3. I haven't gotten back around to kdemultimedia yet, but hopefully a little later today I'll have a chance to try it, and I'll update the Bug#35890 info with whatever I find out...
