Actually Qt for Symbian and Qt Apps builds fine with gcce on Linux.
ThomasZ can talk more about it.
Windows is not anymore a hard requirement.

I agree with Kevin. We should more focus on how we can improve KDE for
mobile than fighting against a build system.
What will be the benefit of saying : "look KDE runs on Symbian" if KDE
runs at 2 FPS eating 60% of the memory. No point. Nokia/whoever will
not care.
In the other hand if KDE runs fine on Maemo/Meego where we can already
build/run/debug (with pain though) then it's just a matter of working
later on the S60 port only.

There is so many to do regardless of Symbian just by considering Maemo/Meego.
