They aren't; you can also use a conditionalised target_link_libraries statement for \
okularcore.

That's because Okular does something that's "not done": use a plugin as a shared \
library. That happens to work on Linux, but it's non-portable. If you check the \
Portfile for Okular you'll see how to circumvent this.
