Ok. I don't agree though. It may not be the perfect fix, but I don't think 
there is one. However, the tooltip in your pic is a very good idea. I think 
that for usability purposes it would help to have some of these in areas that 
are not as intuitive as the could be, and make them pop up more or less right 
away. You are right that you would have to be able to turn it off though, or 
at least change the delay to something slower. Someone might want to keep 
them on as a reminder, but not want to see them for things that they have 
learned. I think together, a larger and more obvious "start button" and the 
tooltip would help this area tremendously.
