KDE will not be following the route of "there's only one way to do it" and
forcing people to only use "the KDE way". The developers on KDE have got
their heads screwed on and they know that different people have different
ways of doing things, particularly if they come from other environments like
Windows or Mac.

Starting from KDE2.2 (available soon!), new users will be presented with the
KPersonalizer application when they first start KDE. This user friendly
"wizard-like" app will guide the user through a number of steps which allow
them to customise their environment and select a pre-defined "profile" for
either KDE/Windows/Mac-like behaviour (with regards to looks, mouse policy,
keyboard settings etc.). From what I've seen it's pretty cool, especially as
it's new, and will only get better over time. Of course, the app can be run
again at any time.
