Haven't you heard that almost all of KDE2 has been rewritten from
nothing (or how do they say? scratch?). So it isn't that easy to take
over code from KDE1 especially in the base of KDE. I'm not involved in
this so I'm just guessing but I think I'm right.

It is. But remember that it were and are these guys who do the every day
hard work at the code, and they demand (they may and should ;-) also
some kind words for their achievements. 

If you are honest your words sound a little bit rude. At least I think
so. It is okay to give hints at things that could be improved or are bad
but you sound rather demanding, so I am no curious about some reactions.
