It's for aesthetic reasons, mostly. Also I'd like to have a definite
answer in the styleguide, even if says "Style B", at least we could then
say "do it so and so to be compliant".

BTW, calling on authority may not be the best style in arguments, but I
asked my software ergonomics prof today and he said "if it's taken out of
context, I'd capitalize it" (and yes, I admit this is a very vague
statement and all :-)
