I heard really a lot of good arguments for and against both opinions. For myself, I stick
with my point of view I previously published. But the question was: What should be
DEFAULT?!

For the experienced user, there is the option to select which style of menubar he wants.
He will find out that pretty soon, perhaps the first time he uses KDE. So we don't have to
think of him and by this all personal likes or dislikes which were told in this discussion
are made by people who aren't in the focus!
But who is the user we are talking about? I would like two separate 3 big groups: 1)
absolut new computer users, 2) ex Windows users, 3) ex Mac users (and other OSs with
menubar at the top). For Nr. 1 it makes no difference what is default, because they have
to learn anyway, so there are only two importend goups left. And now have look how many
people belong to these groups: You will see, that the Windows group is about 5 to perhaps
8 times larger that the Mac group. So the answer can only be: make Windows-style default!
