I think this "new feature" would look just as cool as it did when we used to
have the same
thing in DOS. ;)
However, from a purely practical standpoint, I don't see much reason in
slowing down my
machine to calculate window heights. But while we're discussing such
things, how about
having the window with current focus be ever-so-slightly brighter than the
other windows on
the desktop? This would stand out quite a bit better in some cases... for
example, if you're
using focus-follows-mouse, the currently active window isn't necessarily on
top, and shadows
would obscure it more than is desirable.
