Same thing here. I believe the behavior iis triggered when the menu reaches 
the bottom of the screen and must be repositioned or made multi-column. 

I too ran into the 'Add Bookmark' issue and remember resolving it by 
organizing my bookmarks into a smaller number of top level folders. It's 
definitely a behavior that should be changed. Is this a QT issue though?
